Describe an emotion in metaphors.  Love, joy, anger…

Each day, we send you a new idea, character or setting. It’s up to you to choose what you do with it.

    Better late than ever!

This is one of the hardest prompts (outside of school, of course) that I’ve seen. So even though I did not respond the day the prompt was published, I could not help but to give it a try.

Like a waterfall, a punch, a silent explosion. A hurricane confined to you. It rains on the inside, and clouds form around you. Nothing is the same as it was, and everything is.

Exhale, deeply. Deeper. Breathe yourself inside-out, maybe you’ll feel better. You don’t. Small within yourself, a knotted, angry muscle in a shell it can’t get out of.

    Broken hearts mend.
